Suspect Charged with Arson for Fire at Black-Eyed Pea; Has Extensive Criminal History

Harris County, Texas – August 11th, 2017: Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office investigators have charged Craig Dupree (DOB Aug. 21, 1983) for arson and evading arrest in connection to a fire that occurred on August 5th, 2017 at the Black-Eyed Pea building, located at 2005 W. FM 1960, Houston, TX 77090. Dupree was arrested after attempting to flee from investigators.

[blockquote style=”2″]“HCFMO investigators were able to connect Craig Dupree to the fire at the Black-Eyed Pea building through surveillance video and an eyewitness,” said Public Information Officer Rachel Moreno. “Dupree’s charges were upgraded to felony charges and he is in the Harris County Jail with no bond.”[/blockquote]

Dupree was arrested in December 2016 by Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office for
trespassing inside the Black-Eyed Pea and attempting to steal metal.

Dupree has an extensive criminal history in Harris County.
