SE Texas Under Flood Watch through 7PM Thursday

Image Courtesy KHOU ViewerSoutheast Texas is under a Flood Watch until 7PM tomorrow (Thursday) evening.  Like today, storms are expected to develop in and around Houston.  They’ll be moving slowly and the whole area can expect 1-3 inches with localized amounts upwards of 5-7 inches!  Pack your patience on the commute in the morning as rain could be falling already, earlier than it started today.  Don’t drive in areas where water covers the road, and stay safe!  Don’t forget to send your pics to Spring Happenings on Facebook!

One more thing.  The atmosphere is right for brief funnel clouds. So you might see one or two. Keep in mind that these funnels, should they touch the ground, would be weak tornadoes.  Still capable of doing some minor damage, but will usually just make a big mess by blowing things around.

Don’t forget umbrellas for the kids!!  🙂  Good night!
