Man Arrested After Deadly Drunk Driving Crash On Cypresswood

Spring, Texas – August 28th, 2015: Julio Garza (21) was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter after a deadly crash in the 27000 block of Cypresswood Drive.

Deputies tell us that Garza was traveling down Cypresswood at a high rate of speed when he lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree in the center median.

Garza was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, but his passenger riding in his vehicle was killed.

Further investigation by deputies revealed that Garza was intoxicated. Garza was then arrested, charged with Intoxication Manslaughter Motor Vehicle, and was booked into the Harris County Jail. Bond was set at $30,000 out of the 179th District Court.
