Spring, Texas – December 10th, 2017: Spring Happenings has been following the story of Klein ISD Student Jacob Munoz’s fight with cancer since it began almost three years ago.
At 13 years old, Jacob was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. Over his long and challenging journey, Jacob endured multiple inpatient stays and visits to the intensive care unit. During this time, Jacob, his family, and his medical team stood steadfast and confident in their faith and care. “We watched him deteriorate,” his mother said. “We watched him hit rock bottom. We watched him get stronger and stronger. We watched God build him back up. Praise God!”
Earlier this year, after 2+ years of intensive treatment, Jacob was able to overcome his battle with cancer. Thankfully, Jacob was cancer free for the better part of 2017.
Sadly, just a few days ago, Jacob’s mother announced on Facebook that his cancer has relapsed.
Jacob is a well-known athlete at Klein Cain High School where he has played football. Over the past few years, the entire community has come to support Jacob and his brave fight with this aggressive cancer.
Now, three years later, we join in supporting him for his second round of treatment in the fight for his life and against this terrible disease.
“Please join the Spring Happenings team in prayer for Jacob, his family, and the team of medical professionals that are caring for him.” –Zach Karrenbrock, President of SpringHappenings.com
