U.S. Army Member Killed In Suspected Hit and Run Accident in Spring

Spring, Texas – December 11th, 2015: At approximately 2:25am, Friday morning, a body of a male was found in the middle of Aldine Westfield. A passerby called 911; emergency responders were dispatched to the 26000 block of Aldine Westfield near East Louetta Road.

Authorities later identified the body as 22-year-old, Gregory Davies.

Sources from the scene tell Spring Happenings that Davies was in critical condition, therefore lifeflight was requested.

The patient was airlifted to Memorial Herman in the medical center where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

“Davies appeared to have been struck by a vehicle which had fled the scene.” HCSO

Evidence at the scene shows that Davies was walking southbound on Aldine Westfield in the roadway when he was struck by the vehicle. Investigators say that the vehicle that hit Davies sustained major damage.

Deputies are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious damage to a vehicle in that area to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
